We are within a week of St. Patrick’s Day, and I have lined up several events I will be playing at in and around Bloomington. The first of these events will be this Saturday, in Nashville, Indiana for the Big Woods Brewing Company’s St. Patricks Day party. I will be playing at this event sometime around 5PM and will continue throughout the hour – other musical groups will be performing there, as well.
The next two are on St. Patrick’s Day itself – one at Scenic View restaurant from 1PM to 2PM. Scenic View is down near Lake Monroe, and the event will be a lunch. They will also have a dinner, but it will conflict with another event I will be playing that evening, so sadly I will not be able to play both events.
The final St. Patrick’s Day event I will be playing as far as I know will be Quaff On!’s St. Patrick’s Day party on North Grant Street. I will be playing around 5:30 or 5:45, and will play through the next hour until their main musical act gets on stage. Quaff On! holds street parties from time to time, and they are quite a bit of fun. If you are in Bloomington, Nashville, or any of the surrounding area, please come down!
On the Wednesday after St. Patrick’s Day, the Bloomington Pipers’ Society will be holding its March gathering. The Bloomington Pipers’ Society holds monthly gatherings for pipers to get together and play, as well as for the community to listen to bagpipe music outside of a band setting. The first two meetings have been quite a lot of fun, and I see no reason why this third will be any different!
